HICX helps Orkla to ensure supply chain resilience

Orkla press release

HICX, the leading Supplier Experience Management Platform, is excited to announce a new partnership with the €5 billion Nordic consumer goods company, Orkla.

Following a successful strategy of brand expansion and acquisition in recent years, the company has inherited an increasingly complex supplier ecosystem, as well as a distributed supplier management technology landscape with a number of ERP instances.

With this trend set to continue, and operations spread across the Nordics, Europe and Asia, Orkla needs to ensure its supply chain can remain robust. When it comes to onboarding new suppliers, the company requires as much flexibility with as little operational disruption as possible. So, it set out to find a Supplier Management solution to meet these needs, and after a rigorous process, selected HICX.

“We are looking forward to be working with HICX to manage supplier risk and compliance. With the platform’s automated and integrated workflow, we hope to offer our suppliers a one-to-one experience that enables mutual success. This, we anticipate, will free up our teams to focus more on strategic areas, such as our sustainability program. Being in a position to partner with our supply chain in this way, will help us remain agile through growth and change,” says Ola Svensson, Orkla’s Vice President Procurement Operations & Sustainability.

HICX’s goal is to help Orkla interact with suppliers in the most agile way. Plugging into a wider movement, Supplier Experience Management, the platform will help Orkla unlock two crucial capabilities: facilitating the removal of friction points from 100% of supplier relationships; and enabling a single version of truth across all supplier data.

“We are thrilled to partner with Orkla. In the post-pandemic era, we’re seeing businesses increasingly recognize that their ability to handle uncertainly is inextricably linked with the supplier ecosystems they have in place. Whether it’s expected or sudden, change almost always brings risks and opportunities. Organizations can use this to their advantage, but only with the foundation of a hardy supply chain,” commented HICX CEO, Costas Xyloyiannis.

While the procure-tech brand already has strong capabilities in the CPG sector, HICX hopes to use this partnership as an opportunity to further endorse its strength within the Nordic region.
